7:45. 948 Hart St, Brooklyn: FDNY responded to an “all-hands” fire. According to a witness on the scene the building was engulfed in black smoke coming from the ground floor. Further stating that no fire was visible from the street. FDNY declared at 8:33 that the fire was under control. The residents of the building all appear to be unharmed. The building has sustained smoke and fire damage.
Due to the narrow street, FDNY were only able to sustain one ladder near the house with other emergency vehicles parked on Bushwick Ave and Broadway. For the duration of the incident officials could be seen investigating the floors for potential victims and flammable sources. The street was clouded in smoke for at least 20 minutes. The image gallery below shows some of this investigation within the building and the state of the area.
